Hysterectomies

We perform a large number of gynecological surgeries every year. The institute is famous for its proficiency in performing Vaginal Hysterectomies (especially for large uteri and for patients with multiple previous surgeries). We serve as a referral centre for smaller hospitals in the region.

Anesthesia

The hospital boasts of the most advanced anesthesia equipment in the region. All four of our ORs are equipped with Dräger or GE workstations for general anesthesia, a team experienced in Regional anesthesia and continuous Epidural analgesia.

Facilities for Safe Anesthesia

With facilities for Laryngeal mask airways and Video-assisted endotracheal intubation, we ensure safe anesthesia for those at higher risk.

Sutureless Surgery

With the availability of newer technology such as Ligasure Max, Ligasure Impact, Ligasure Small Jaw and Harmonic Wave, we ensure that most open surgeries get the benefit of being nearly suture free, just like laparoscopic surgeries. These help in reducing postoperative pain, duration of surgery and aids early recovery for our patients.

Conservative alternatives to Hysterectomy

For patients with heavy bleeding and other ailments requiring hysterectomy, we offer certain conservative options when surgery is not preferred, not feasible or not possible. Uterine thermal balloon ablation and Mirena (LNG-IUS) insertion are routinely performed at our institute.

Early cancer detection

Early detection of Gynecological cancers with regular Pap smears, Video colposcopy, and regular clinical and ultrasound examinations are routinely carried out at our centre. We undertake cancer surgery for early stages of Cervical, Uterine and Ovarian cancers with facilities nearby for Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy. Regular immunizations using the new Cervical cancer vaccines are also carried out at our hospital.

Advanced Sterilization System

We take prevention of infection very seriously. Apart from routine Autoclaves, the hospital has invested in an Ultrasound cleaner, an ETO plant and a state of the art Sterrard Advanced Sterilization System. This has ensured that we have an almost negligible postoperative infection rate.
